At 6:57 p.m. on Wednesday, August 16, 2017, a Turkish Airline flight landed at Toronto’s Lester Pearson airport, delivering Canada’s newest Canadian family.

Relatives and ParisCares volunteers were there to welcome them and to deliver them safely to their new home in Paris.

After the exchange of hugs, hats, flowers and treats, Essam, his wife Rema and their four children Sulaiman, Hala, Lamar and Sham boarded a bus for the joyful trip to Paris where they will begin the next chapter of their lives in our community which offers a safe and supportive environment for the family.
